On my mind and up and coming excitement!

Well, I haven’t blogged in eternity it seems. I am highly overdue. One thing I’ve been thinking about lately is about how if the time comes when a guy is actually interested in me – I’m not going to know how to act. I think I will be most awkward. I don’t know how to react to positive attention from a guy, I think. Again, it goes back to wanting to be with someone with whom I’ve already developed a friendship. That’s an easier transition, I think. I hate the whole game of meeting/dating. I just want to BE with someone. That natural, at home feeling, if that makes sense. I don’t know. I’m just not the kind of girl that gets interest from guys, and so I don’t know how to deal with it. Any suggestions for the loser spinsty girl? OK, so maybe I’m not totally a loser, but I am an awkward spinster girl. Just sayin! Any suggestions? Not that I’ve got anyone knocking on my figurative door, as always. But, you know, just for future “in case” reference points.

In other news, the week of my amazing European Adventure has finally arrived. I’ve been buying all sorts of fun travel-sized things, and planning to get mostly packed this weekend. I leave this coming Thursday! SO EXCITED! I will get zillions of pics and hopefully have tons of fabulous things to share. I will be going to Bath, England first to experience the Jane Austen Festival – would you expect anything less of me? I mean, really. After spending a few days there, I will be heading to London for a few days to see all the sights! And if that wasn’t amazing and dream coming true enough, I will fulfill my lifelong dream of travelling to Paris for our last two days there! I can’t believe I will be able to have this amazing opportunity! If you have any travel tips, you can post those in my comments along with the how not to be an awkward spinster tips! Ha. Alright, Ang out. More to come later – next time I blog I will be a world traveler! Stamps in my passport and all! AAHH!!!! Yay!

Woo-Hoo!! Trip to England and France! That sounds so exciting! Especially getting to go to Bath and the Jane Austen Festival! I hope you have a great time. My advice on traveling: Wear shoes that are easy to take on and off at the airport and then again in the plane if you want. Wear layers...T-Shirt, Sweater....something like that...it can be hot and cold in the plane at different times, take your time to figure stuff out...don't get panicky if you don't know where you are...just take a deep breath and think for a minute. Those are my tips. Unfortunately, I don't have any tips in the men department. Have a great time! Maybe you will meet your Mr. Darcy in England!

Give it up Wilp! Don't give up the abstinence, but give up the hope that your best friend will fall for you. Just go out and find somebody who doesn't want to bff you. I HIGHLY recommend www.LDSMINGLE.COM. Since you are going to be in Europe - go bird hunting like the English do! Kill two birds with one little stone. Start looking on ldsmingle.com for English guys and meet up with one for pureed peas and chips. Get him to show you around and see what happens. ;) Expand your universe and he'll be out there. It happened to me! ;-)

Best wishes!!!

Oh, I'm so excited for you!! I hope you have a wonderful time. Europe is a magical place and once you get the bug you'll want to go back.

Have fun and make the most of every minute you're there.

You know how in America we have those "Good From Far/Far From Good" type of people? In England, that's pretty much everyone and they call it English Disease.

Good luck.

I get what you're saying about being awkward when a guy is interested in you. You don't even WANT to know what I did/said.... But we're dating now, so luckily he's okay with my craziness?
I'm just like, but what would you be interested in me in the first place? I have problems with this.
Oh and I'm glad you had fun in Europe. Sigh. I love Paris. Probably my favorite city in the world.
